British ambassador to Khartoum arrives in El Fasher

El Fasher – The British Ambassador to Khartoum, Mr Giles Lever , arrived Today, in El Fasher, on a visit, the first of its kind, to Darfur to inspect the challenges on the ground and to confirm the UK’s commitment to supporting the democratic transition in Sudan.

The ambassador asserted importance of everyone’s participation in the transition process, saying: “This is my first visit to Darfur, I am glad to be here at last and I look forward to an integrated program, and the United Kingdom remains fully committed to helping Sudan achieve peace and stability, which requires the participation of everyone from different regions.
