Kortikaila Affirms Importance of Combating Hate Speech through National Campaign

The Minister of Federal Government, Engineer Mohamed Kortikaila Saleh, has stressed importance of taking intensive action against hate speech and promoting the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence for boosting peace and stability in the country.
The minister made the remarks during a meeting held Wednesday to review features of a plan of launching a national campaign to combat hate speech, in partnership with the Sudan Foundation for Coexistence and Social Cohesion.
Saleh called for pressing ahead with the steps of preparing for the launch of the campaign.
The meeting discussed the proposed plan for implementing the campaign with the participation of state governors, which is expected to be reviewed and approved in the coming days.
