Sudan and Syria Discuss Cooperation livestock field

The Federal Minister of Animal Resources Hafez Ibrahim Abdel Nabi, met today with the Chargé d’affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Khartoum, Bishr Al-Shaar.

The meeting discussed the relations between Sudan and Syria in livestock fields and ways to support and develop them for the interest of the two brotherly countries.

Abdel Nabi called for the creation of distinguished economic and commercial partnerships and opens broader horizons with Syria in all fields of livestock, stressing the opening of new markets in Syria and the Arab region, to realize Sudan initiative for Arab food security. The minister pledged to meet all Syrian requests from livestock products based on the international health requirements and specifications, stressing that the Syrian market is one of the targeted and important markets for the export of livestock.

The two sides agreed to make a protocol for health and technical requirements and to activate the agreements and memorandums of understanding signed between the two countries in all livestock products.For his part, Sha’ar stressed the importance of strengthening aspects of relations between Sudan and Syria, and expressed his country’s desire to cooperate in the field of training and importing calves, camels and meat slaughtered according to international health and technical requirements, expressing his hope that cooperation will continue in all livestock products, calling for the exchange of visits between Ministers of animal wealth in the two countries.
