FM Meets Director of the Horn of Africa Department at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge, Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq, received in his office today, Ambassador Elizabeth Hansen, Director of the Horn of Africa and West Africa Department at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and means of developing them further. The meeting also touched on the political dialogue currently ongoing in the country and the signing of the framework agreement as a step forward to achieve stability in Sudan.
The Minister expressed his appreciation for Norway’s efforts through its bilateral relations with Sudan and through its efforts via the Troika to promote peace and stability in the region, expressing Sudan’s aspiration for the continuation of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially after the formation of the expected civil government.

For her part, the Norwegian official affirmed her country’s readiness to develop bilateral relations with Sudan in various fields, especially in the fields of agriculture, food security and renewable energy, as well as cultural and academic cooperation between the competent authorities in the two countries.
