FM Meets Director for Africa at European External Action Service

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq Ali met in his office Thursday, With the Director for Africa at the European External Action Service, Ms. Rita Laranjinha.

The Minister welcomed the European official, appreciated the efforts made by the European Union in supporting the ongoing political process in the country and stressed the importance of resuming European development support to Sudan.

For her part, Ms. Laranjinha explained that she is going to tour the region to get acquainted on the positive developments witnessed in it, especially in Somalia and Ethiopia, and expressed her hope to reach a political agreement and form a civilian government in the near future.
